💜 Children or family responsibilities that make leaving more complicated.
💜 Financial control or limited access to money.
💜 Nowhere safe to go or limited support.
💜 Fear of what may happen if they try to leave.
💜 Years of threats, manipulation or isolation.

Instead of asking why someone stayed:

Listen. Believe them. Support them. Respect their decisions about their safety.

Being a safe person can matter more than you realize. 💜

In the U.S., Black women continue to face a higher breast cancer death rate than White women. That’s why awareness needs to include action.

💗 Know your body and pay attention to changes.
💗 Know your family history and understand your risk.
💗 Speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
💗 Talk to your healthcare provider about screening and your individual risk.
💗 Encourage the women you love to prioritize their breast health too.

We protect our peace and our joy. Our health deserves that same energy. 💕
