LABOR DAY WEEKEND! SATURDAY * 12:30 PM * CRAB ISLAND ☀️🌴

Well… still no rain. 😂

Those Florida clouds have been threatening us all day, but so far they’ve brought nothing but a little drama to the background. Meanwhile, Crab Island is filling up and our 12:30 crew is enjoying every minute of it. 🔆

We’re still working our way through this neap tide, so the water may not be showing off its famous emerald green just yet — but judging by the crowd out here, nobody seems too bothered. 😎

SATURDAY MORNING AT CRAB ISLAND 🔆

Florida forecast: chance of rain.
Florida reality: we’ll find out when it gets here. 😂🌦️

For now, our 9:00 AM trip is soaking up a beautiful morning at Crab Island. We’re still in a neap tide, so the water isn’t giving us its brightest emerald show today — but that certainly doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful. 💚

And Captain Harry has been doing what Captain Harry does… checking out what’s happening under the water, where he found another sand dollar hanging out on the bottom. 🐚

Every trip is a little different. That’s half the fun.

It’s that time again…..A Holiday weekend is upon us, which means another safety message!

Labor Day weekend means more boats, more people…and unfortunately, more illegal charters on the water.

The U.S. Coast Guard is reminding passengers to do one very simple thing before stepping aboard:

ASK TO SEE YOUR CAPTAIN’S LICENSE.

Yes, really. It’s OK to ask. A legitimate captain won’t be offended by it. Their Merchant Mariner Credential represents the training, testing and requirements they completed to legally carry paying passengers.

And remember — this isn’t just about boats carrying more than six passengers. Any vessel operating for hire has rules and documentation it must follow. The requirements may differ depending on whether it’s a 6-pack charter, inspected passenger vessel or bareboat charter, but “they have a boat and take Venmo” is not a Coast Guard credential.

With one of the busiest boating weekends of the year approaching, take five minutes to know who you’re trusting with your family.

⚓ Ask questions.
⚓ Verify credentials.
⚓ Know what you booked.
⚓ And if something doesn’t feel right, don’t get on the boat.
