Plot twist…this is NOT the river cruise we were supposed to be on! 😂

We came to Europe expecting to sail with AmaWaterways from Nuremberg to Luxembourg, but just a few days before our trip, we learned that low water levels on portions of the Rhine, Main and Moselle meant our cruise couldn’t operate as planned.

So…we pivoted!

AmaWaterways created a brand new itinerary through the Netherlands and Belgium, taking us from Amsterdam to Brussels. 🇳🇱🇧🇪 And we get to be some of the first guests to experience it!

Was it what we planned? Nope. Was I disappointed at first? Absolutely. But one thing I’ve learned after years of traveling is that things don’t always go according to plan.

Sometimes you just have to roll with the changes. So much of travel (and life!) really is all in your attitude. You can focus on what you’re missing, or you can get excited about the unexpected adventure in front of you!

So Amsterdam to Brussels it is!

And so far…I’d say Plan B is looking pretty darn good. ❤️

24 hours in Amsterdam 🇳🇱❤️

A quick stay, but such a good one! We spent our night in Amsterdam at De L’Europe and I absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful, perfectly located and definitely one I’ll be recommending to clients!

But the highlight of our short stay was getting to catch up with an old friend who now calls Amsterdam home ❤️

And can we talk about these fries with truffle mayo and Parmesan?! 😍 Soooo good!

Such a fun way to start this European adventure!

And up next…our AmaWaterways river cruise. Although there was a little plot twist with that 😂

Disney Cruise Line is heading back to New York City in Fall 2027! 🗽🚢 And even better…it’s the Disney Wish!

Beginning September 29, 2027, the Disney Wish will sail a limited series of 7 cruises from NYC, with itineraries visiting Bermuda and Canada/New England. 🍁🏝️

Here’s a look at the lineup:

🏝️ Sept. 29 – 4-Night Bermuda
🍁 Oct. 3 – 5-Night Canada & New England
🏝️🍁 Oct. 8 – 6-Night Bermuda & Canada
