You can absolutely eat well as a vegan in the Galápagos, but this is one destination where we don't recommend just showing up and hoping for the best.

Options vary from island to island, and you won't find vegan choices everywhere. But with a little research, there are some great finds!

We recommend bringing a few protein bars or packets of protein powder as backup, especially for boat and travel days.wi

Malaysia officially has its first independently Vegan Hospitality ™ certified hotels:

The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat
Sunway Resort Hotel
Sunway Velocity Hotel KL

Why does certification matter?

Because "vegan-friendly" can mean wildly different things from one hotel to another.

Sometimes it means a thoughtfully designed plant-based menu, knowledgeable staff, and clear kitchen procedures.

And sometimes it means someone removed the cheese from a salad. 😂

Would certification like this make you more likely to choose one hotel over another?
