Due to continued hot and dry weather and critically dry fuels, the Willamette National Forest will move into Stage 2 Fire Restrictions at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17 to help prevent wildfires. The restrictions are for all Willamette National Forest lands, including within developed campgrounds and Wilderness areas.

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions prohibit:
🚫 Fires, campfires, and stove fires, including solid fuel, charcoal briquette, gas/jellied petroleum, pressurized liquid fuel or propane. Devices fueled by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off are permitted when operated in an area devoid of flammable vegetation within three feet of the stove.
🚫 Chainsaw use. Generators must have a spark arrestor and be located in an area cleared of flammable material in a 10-foot diameter.
🚫 Welding.
🚫 Explosives.
🚫 Use of vehicles off designated National Forest System roads and trails.

Do your part to help firefighters by preventing human-caused wildfires.
