Your first international adventure could start with a scholarship!

If you’re between 18 and 30 and have been dreaming of seeing the world, HI USA’s Explore the World Travel Scholarship is an opportunity worth exploring.

Two scholarship options are available:

• Explore the World: $2,000 toward an international trip that includes an educational or service component.

• First Passport Edition: $3,000 to help cover passport fees, flights, and hostel accommodations, plus a travel mentor to help you plan your first trip abroad.

Applicants must:

• Be 18–30 years old.
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the U.S. or its territories.
• Demonstrate financial need and have limited travel experience and resources.
• Plan to travel between May 1, 2027, and August 15, 2028.

First Passport Edition applicants must also have never held a U.S. passport and be eligible to receive one.

HI USA has announced early access through its member community, with the public application opening listed as September 30, 2026. The application deadline is December 7, 2026. Review application dates and requirements: https://www.hiusa.org/.../explore.../program-requirements.

U.S. airlines are issuing travel alerts ahead of Winter Storm Fern, which is expected to cause flight delays and cancellations in several regions. Many carriers are offering flexible rebooking options and change fee waivers for impacted travel dates.

As our nation continues to navigate ongoing hardships and rising challenges around essential services, I’ve made the decision to suspend all travel booking services through InteleTravel indefinitely.

This choice wasn’t made lightly. Travel should be joyful, safe, and accessible, and right now many families are prioritizing necessities, stability, and day-to-day support. I want to honor that reality with responsibility and integrity.
