PSA for my fellow travelers:

Starting May 7, 2025, if your ID ain’t got that little star on it, TSA might treat you like you trying to sneak on the plane with a library card.

It’s called a REAL ID, baby. No star = no domestic flights without a passport.
So unless you tryna road trip to Vegas or FaceTime the Grand Canyon… go handle that DMV business.

Your future self at the airport will thank you.

These include post offices, clerks of court, public libraries, and other local government offices which accept passport applications on our behalf. Use your zip code to search for an acceptance facility near you at iafdb.travel.state.gov.

You can find A LOT of important pre-travel information all in one convenient place at travel.state.gov/destination. Even if you're going somewhere you’ve been before, entry requirements, local laws, and safety considerations can change. Get in the habit of looking up the latest information before each trip.
