🍁🍁The leaves are just starting to change. Somehow every year I forget just how glorious the fall is in the mountains. Be sure to drive up at some point over the next 2 weeks.

I was lucky enough to go up for a Dillon Amphitheatre concert. The weather was perfect & I ran into 2 other friends - how special & fun!

Montezuma Bowl Open: Montezuma Bowl opened about 11 AM today. We started with the central core, Upper Larkspur and Columbine, being open and added much of the 14'ers a little later. The cat work back there was exceptional. The lift crew and the patrollers also put a lot into the opening. In the coming days, we will be widening the terrain, conducting avalanche mitigation steps and working towards the steeper stuff.

Bring on the snow!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️

Not Indicative: We are buried. Speaking with Louis first thing this morning, he said, "This is great. The storm board (we reported 5" new) is not indicative of what is going on around here. The wind and the snow are really impressive."

It is snowing heavily right now. The biggest part of this storm is forecast for during the day today. Today and tonight and tomorrow, the ski patrol and the snowcats will be covering as much ground as they possibly can. We need a little time to manage the snow and the terrain, but expect changes soon. This storm is exactly what we have been waiting for.

And now, the forecasts are starting to pick up another storm near week's end.
