Heading to Europe in 2026? There’s a new app you should know about.

The Travel to Europe app was created to work with the EU’s new Entry/Exit System, which uses biometric border checks for many non-EU travelers.

Depending on where you’re travelling, you'll be able to use the app to submit information before you arrive, including your passport details, a facial image and an entry questionnaire.

But here’s the catch: it’s not available everywhere yet, and it’s not a guaranteed skip-the-line pass.

Right now, the app can be used for travel to Sweden and Portugal. Sweden supports passport details, a facial image and the entry questionnaire, while Portugal currently supports only the questionnaire.

So, it's not fully operational across Europe yet, but other countries are expected to roll it out in the next year. The EU hasn’t announced a confirmed rollout schedule.

For now, still give yourself extra time, check your arrival country before you travel, and use official EU sources.

🇨🇷 Costa Rica isn’t really a “one best month to visit” kind of destination.

Yes, the dry season is popular for a reason, but some of the most memorable trips happen when you plan around the unbelievable natural experiences: whales arriving, turtles nesting, and forests turning lush and green.

That’s why timing matters.

The best time to visit depends on what you want from the trip. More sunshine? Better wildlife viewing? Whale watching? Fewer crowds? Greener landscapes? A mix of everything?

Costa Rica has something incredible happening almost year-round. You just need to know what to look for, and when.
