There's a magical feeling in European towns each December — squares lit in gold, the smell of roasted chestnuts and mulled w**e, centuries of tradition.

If visiting some of Europe's famous Christmas markets is on your list, here's some inspiration for next year:

🇧🇼 Not every safari destination works the same way, and Botswana is a good example of why the country matters as much as the itinerary.

Decades ago, Botswana made a deliberate choice: low volume, high value.

Instead of large shared parks, most of the country operates through private concessions, which means significantly fewer vehicles at any given sighting, and camps that often sit on land no other lodge can access.

It's also more varied than most people expect in one trip. There's the water-based Okavango Delta, the stark salt pans of the Makgadikgadi, and the elephant-heavy rivers of Chobe and Linyanti. All within the same country.

A lot of people are surprised to find out that you're actually not allowed to swim at a lot of the beaches in Cabo! 😲

Are you planning a trip to the Maldives? ✨

This luxury destination looks effortless from the outside: turquoise water, overwater villas, perfect sunsets. But behind the scenes, it's one of those destinations where the details can make or break the trip.

Here are a few things not to do:

❌ Don't assume every resort is easy to reach. Some require a speedboat, some need a seaplane, and transfer timing can completely change how your arrival day feels.

❌ Don't book the cheapest room without looking at the island layout. In the Maldives, where your villa sits can matter almost as much as the resort itself.

❌ Don't forget that you'll eat most of your meals at the resort. Dining variety, meal plans, and drink packages are worth thinking through before you book.

❌ Don't make it too short. After the long travel time, we usually recommend staying at least 5 nights if you can.

❌ Don't treat every island like it offers the same experience. Some are better for snorkeling, some for overwater villas, some for families, some for couples, and some for doing absolutely nothing in the best way.

The Maldives is not a one-size-fits-all destination. The right island can feel like a dream. The wrong one can feel expensive, inconvenient, or just not quite you.
