HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND! The Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival is a 3-day event that treats music lovers to a wide variety of amazing songs and the people and stories behind the finely crafted tunes.

The songwriting showcases give attendees the opportunity to experience tomorrow’s headliners in small-stage "listening room" performances at unique venues in historic downtown Dripping Springs. On 8 stages, featuring 70 shows, 40+ songwriters will perform in an “in the round” Nashville-style song-swap format. In its essence, the Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival is all about finely crafted songs and the talented folks who have written them. The best part? All shows downtown are FREE!

Happy Indigenous Peoples Day, y'all!

Here in Dripping Springs, the namesake dripping springs in our downtown district served as a cultural and practical gathering place and water source for Tonkawa people in the area. The land that became Dripping Springs was part of the traditional lands of several Indigenous peoples, including the Tonkawa and peoples along the Kiowa and Comanche trails.

Today is a day for recognizing the communities who have cared for these lands across countless generations. But it's not just about looking back at history; it is about honoring living, vibrant communities thriving today.

Much like anywhere else in the United States, Dripping Springs’ origins are tied to the land and traditions of Indigenous nations. Take some time today to look into the historic and modern Indigenous stories from your area!
