Drummond Island Snow & Groomer Report

Drummond Island Snow & Groomer Report If it snows, we will make sure you know! Oh! Dancing,
Flirting,
Skimming along.
- Thomas J. Watson

the snow, the beautiful snow,
Filling the sky and earth below,
Over the housetops, over the street,
Over the heads of the people you meet.

Friendly reminder to all ORV trail riders:
Snowmobile trails are now closed for the season. While we know many are eager to get out and ride, please be aware that some trail gates located on private property were unable to be closed due to heavy snow loads.
With the recent snowmelt, trails may also have excessive water, soft conditions, and areas prone to damage. Please use caution while riding and avoid creating ruts or traveling through areas that could be easily impacted.
We ask that everyone respect private property and stay on designated open ORV routes and trails. Your cooperation helps maintain positive relationships with landowners and keeps access open for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you for your understanding and for riding responsibly!

We might be done grooming but winter isn’t done with us just yet! That’s the backyard snow gauge…. It’s more protected and shaded during the day. The front yard one says about 11 inches but is more in the open direct sunlight so it melts faster

Groomer Report
3/25/26

The trails are still holding up pretty well at this point but with warmer weather water starts running fast.
We do have both Groomers down for the rest of the season so we won’t be out there to fix any problems.

Please ride with caution and enjoy our last 6 days of open trails.

PS…. Don’t forget the quarry trail is closed for the rest of this season.

Just a reminder… the trail from the ferry to town is CLOSED!
We still have lots of wonderful trails to ride but you have to trailer your sleds to one of our staging areas.

Update…. The groomer just got back from doing the west end of the island. He says the whole trail system is in excellent condition… just when we thought our season was about over we got this wonderful gift and the best it’s been all winter. Enjoy them while we can!

The Groomer has most of the east end groomed and it is in excellent condition. He said there was massive snow drift out there that had snow drifts of their own. He is burning an excessive amount of fuel so he came back in to fuel up the tractor then back at it.
He says the west end should be as good as the east when he gets it done but we are down a groomer so it taking longer than usual …. I will update asap!
Keep in mind the trail to the quarry is closed for the rest of the season. Even though the quarry trail is closed it’s still well worth it to trailer your sleds to the island. We only have 2 weeks of snowmobiling left so enjoy while we can!
