After all this snow and rain we're expecting a pretty spectacular Yucca bloom. Peak bloom should be mid June - end of June approximately.

The Starlings are back for the winter. Look to the North / Northeast at sunrise and sunset to see their murmurations.

Mornings are kind of hectic. These little guys are getting ready to head South in a few weeks and are consuming as many calories as possible.

Lake Canyon Lake is a 40 minute easy scenic drive from the cabin. The small lake is used by the DWR for raising Colorado Cuthrout Trout. (Catch and release/ artificial lures only). It's not unusual to be the only person enjoying this hidden gem.
