It’s so great to be back in Washington DC with another tour group! The first two days have been filled full with so many historic sights.

We started with a visit to George Washington's Mount Vernon, where we visited his mansion and final resting place. Then we had a great tour of our nations Capital, with a special thank you to Senator Amy Klobuchar’s office who helped arrange that.

We finished the day with a wonderful meal at mividamexico and a nighttime visit to the Marine Corps Memorial - Iwo Jima.

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!

🍎 Saturday, a great trip to Bayfield for our annual tour of apple orchards, lunch at Old Rittenhouse Inn, and free time at the Bayfield Apple Festival!

🎭 Then today, our SOLD OUT tour to Duluth for Church Basement Ladies at Boat Club Productions. What a HILARIOUS show, along with a delicious Swedish Meatball lunch at Boat Club Restaurant and Bar.

Bonjourno from Italy! 🇮🇹

What an incredible way to wrap up our 10-day journey through the beautiful country of Italy. We started south and made a stop in the historic city of Pompei - a bustling Roman city buried under volcanic ash by Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, preserving an extraordinary time capsule of daily life that remained hidden for 1,500 years.

We followed that with days in Sorrento, Amalfi, and Positano. Until the 19th century, the steep terrain meant the cliffside towns were entirely isolated from land and could only be reached by sea or v mule.

We’ve had incredible weather, an amazing group of travelers, and so many great memories.

Bonjourno from Italia! 🇮🇹

We have had two jam packed days on our journey through Italy! We started with a nice visit to Orvieto. The city sits high on a massive block of volcanic stone, making it look like a natural stone island. A second, hidden city of more than 1,200 caves, tunnels, and wells is carved directly into the rock beneath the streets. We had a nice w**e tasting with a great local w**emaker.

Next, we headed to Rome - the capital of Italy and home to nearly 2,800 years of history. We had a fantastic tour of Circus Maximus, the Forum and Colosseum. We also visited the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the beautiful country of Vatican City. This included a tour of the Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica, and St Peter’s Square.

We’re off to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Isle of Capri! 🍋 Ciao!

Buongiorno from Italia! 🇮🇹

We had the best two days in both Bologna and Florence exploring the incredible history of the region. Bologna is filled with amazing fresh fruit, vegetable, and seafood markets. Italians buy their meals each day, not for the week like most Americans.

Then we headed to the historic city of Florence. The city was founded as a Roman military colony by Julius Caesar in 59 BC. It later grew into the vibrant birthplace of the Renaissance, served as the capital of Italy from 1865 to 1870, and remains a significant part of art, architecture, and banking history of Italy.

We saw the final resting place of Michelangelo and Galileo, as well as the Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, and the incredible statue of David at Academia.

We’re off to Orvieto and Rome!

Buongiorno from Italia! 🇮🇹

We landed and have loved our first two days exploring the beautiful city of Venice - a city built on millions of wooden tree logs stuck in the mud. It has zero cars and bicycles, 400-plus bridges, and almost 200 hundred canals.

We took a tour of the beautiful Doge’s Palace, a gondola ride through the canals, and explored the beautiful streets.

We’re off to Bologna & Florence!
