One of my most favorite places I’ve visited (stumbled upon) in my travels.
Parrot Mountain just past Dollywood up on a mountain.
Beautiful and filled with all the exotic birds a bird lover could ask for.
Plus they have an area you can hold the birds, pet them, feed them and also a bird nursery, which is where this video was taken.
If you are a bird lover check this place out if you visit the Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg area.

FALL IN MICHIGAN 🍂

Michigan doesn't get enough credit for how ridiculously pretty it can be in the fall.

🍎 Apple orchards
🎃 Pumpkin patches
🚲 Trails
🍂 Fall colors
🍺 Seasonal events
👻 Haunted attractions

I spent time exploring Ann Arbor in fall, and it's one of those destinations where autumn just FITS.

Sometimes the best fall getaway isn't some huge bucket-list trip.

It's a long weekend somewhere you haven't really explored yet.

That's one of my favorite things about Midwest travel.

There is SO much sitting within driving distance.

DOGS MAKE EVERYTHING MORE COMPLICATED...AND BETTER 🐶🚐

Traveling with dogs means packing approximately twice as much stuff...

for THEM. 😂

Beds.

Food.

Treats.

Bowls.

Medication.

Leashes.

Vet records.

Toys.

And heaven forbid you forget their favorite blanket.

But being able to bring the dogs along is one of my favorite things about RV travel.

RV OWNERS KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS 😭🚐

There are four stages of being a Minnesota RVer:

1️⃣ FINALLY! Camping season!
2️⃣ Best summer ever!
3️⃣ Let's squeeze in ONE more trip.
4️⃣ Crap. We have to winterize this thing.

😂

And unfortunately, skipping that last step can turn into a VERY expensive spring surprise.

Frozen water lines and RV plumbing are not exactly how anyone wants to start the next camping season.

We've learned a LOT about winterizing our RV over the years, including what works for us living here in Minnesota.

Before owning an RV:

"We'll just pack up and go whenever we want!"

After owning an RV:

Holding tanks.

Water lines.

Campground reservations.

Generators.

Dump stations.

Leveling.

Things flying out of cabinets while driving.

😂😂😂

And yet...

I'd still choose RV travel again.

There's just something about having your own little home rolling down the highway with you.
