After my tour tonight we saw the biggest rat (muskrat) I’ve ever seen! This guy looked well fed. Must have been old or pregnant as one comment said. For him to be in this parking lot where there was cars and people, I almost felt bad for him.

I yelled at a couple of kids that went to chase after him and told them to leave him alone. I hope he made it to the back of the grass and the building safely.

Funny that he stopped right at the sewer grate, almost like he was asking, “let me in“!

Coincidentally Canal Park Drive used to be called “Rat Avenue” in the day because of all of the rats that were around the outhouses and trash bins, including the scoundrels that frequented the brothels.

Just a little update about today’s schedule for Tours. There’s been some flip-flopping because of the weather and the rains and mud making the hike dangerous for tonight so instead, I’ve just added a tragedy tour. But this one will include a bonus Paranormal Investigator if anyone is interested. I’ve kept it short and sweet because of the weather.

We could see and hear the thunder and lightning on the horizon. Clouds started getting dark, but we finished just in time.

We didn’t get too much coming through the spirit box. I always say during extreme winds the spirits just blow away 😆 because that is always been my experience on windy nights we rarely get good EVP’s.

Casket ⚰️ Quarry hike tonight 7pm-8:30. Reminder trail has a med-tough incline climb. Wear good hiking shoes.

Hike itself is about 1 mile total. Plenty of stopping and storytelling. Includes paranormal EVP experience 👻

Bugs 🦟 are in full force waiting for us, wear long sleeves/pants. Bring bug spray.

For my late night peeps. I must’ve got four compliments from strangers down in Canal Park on my costume during my tours.

I love having fun and telling some amazing stories as a native Duluthian. Why you should book one of my five different 👻 tours that I offer before season ends mid October.

Fire in the sky tonight on tour!
Amazing blues and orange sunset. And the moon coming up on the horizon was absolutely stunning, but my camera took awful pix of it. It’s embarrassing to even share.

If I can be down there tomorrow at 9pm to get more pictures that would be amazing!

I’ve made the decision to add a couple of weekends in the first part of September to see if there’s any interest in my hike then. That meant swapping it out with my Canal Park tour. So I’m crossing fingers people have an interest in getting out into nature and hiking, especially as Fall comes and the leaves start changing color. It’s a very cool experience!

I’ve been pondering adding a second day for my haunted quarry hike. But…. I would need to swap it out with one of my tour days in Canal Park and I’d love to do it on a weekend.

*UPDATE - I’ve done it with the next two weekends! There’s a hike on Friday the 4th, and then another the following week on Saturday the 12th. I’m gonna see how many I get interested in it. I’ve had to delete the Tours in Canal Park those days. 🤞

Seasonal Rains are going to make it difficult because then the trail gets sloppy and dangerous which then would mean cancellations. But it’s an amazing tour, a lot of fun and it gets people out in nature-which is my favorite part.
I’d love to offer the hikes on Thursdays and Saturdays.

But would taking a tour away in Canal Park on Saturday be detrimental? Or do you think people would be more inclined to want to do the hike with an EVP session versus walking around Canal Park for a couple of hours?

The thing is about the convenience - if they’re staying in Canal Park, maybe driving to Quarry Park might be too much trouble?

What are your thoughts?
