We hope everyone fared ok with Idalia, unfortunately many of our surrounding coastal communities were affected by the storm surge and coastal flooding. We were very fortunate and didn't sustain any damage or flooding.

Rainbow River Kayak Adventures provides shuttle transportation for our kayak, paddle board and tube rentals to Rainbow River.

Rainbow River Kayak Adventures is looking for friendly and reliable staff members to join our team! We are looking for shuttle drivers who are physically capable of lifting a minimum of 75 lbs and drive a bus with a trailer throughout an 8 hour shift in the Florida heat.

Job Description:
Staff Members/Drivers load a trailer with kayaks and paddle boards, paddles and life jackets. Driver is required to inform patrons regarding the rules of Rainbow River and give clear directions regarding the exit/pick-up point. At the drop off point, the driver will unload the rentals and properly equip them with life jackets and paddles. Drivers will then safely assist customers into the watercraft. At pick up, drivers will load the rentals onto the trailer and transport the equipment and customers back to the parking lot. Drivers will then store the equipment in their proper places.

Responsibilities:
Driving a bus and trailer
Loading and unloading kayaks
Transporting customers and equipment
Providing necessary equipment (paddles and life jackets)
Maintaining rental equipment by properly using, handling, transporting and storing equipment.
Must be able to visually inspect condition of facilities and equipment
Informing passengers on the river exit and pick-up instructions

Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Reliable Transportation
Ability to drive bus and trailer
Ability to lift 75lbs multiple times a day
Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors

Good customer service is a must. Drivers are required to inform their passengers of the exit point and rules of the river. As well as answer any and all questions the customers may ask. Drivers have the ability to make tips and can maximize their income with the right attitude.

Hours:
8:30 – 5:00 pm daily.
Full and part time positions available.

Drivers are paid an hourly wage + tips.
Hourly wage based on experience.
