One year!
It’s been a year since we started signing papers with our realtor and started this adventure now called Prospect Place. Still not sure if it was a mid-life crisis or if we just needed to shake things up and add some good stress to our lives, but it’s been quite a year! Barry is a carpenter and I’ve always been addicted to HGTV and making our home a unique space with his help. We have also both always loved the old river towns along the Mississippi, so once we started looking and our realtor told us about a church for sale in Durand (we now love old river towns along the Chippewa!), we were hooked.
There have been many cool stories along the way, like selling every single church pew to a brand new wedding barn to a former Durand resident gifting us a trivet from the original church he found while cleaning out his parents’ home. We’ve met some great friends and neighbors who have helped us and partnered with us to bring such a great space to Durand. We couldn’t do it without the help of all the local businesses and can’t wait to continue to share Prospect Place with as many visitors and locals as we can!
