These little gems of goodness are an excellent source of vitamin C. They are also a good source of fiber, phosphorus and selenium. Raspberries contain anthocyanins and another phytochemical called quercetin, both of which are anti carcinogenic. Raspberries have also been shown to help control blood sugar in diabetics and help prevent liver damage.

So we think everyone should eat, drink and generally love their veggies more, but we know sometimes it can be hard to fit them into your diet.

Both and (aubergine), can be used as great alternatives to meat in lots of dishes.

You can buy young jackfruit online and to cook, boil it for about ten minutes until it tears apart. You can use the shredded jackfruit in green chili (tacos), in bean chili (hello camping dinner) and with a BBQ sauce (more slaw and BBQ sammies anyone?)

Eggplant can be grilled and then mashed with a potato masher to be made into meatballs (with quinoa, almond flour and seasonings), added to bean burgers or grilled in slices for a hearty addition to lasagne, sandwiches and much more!

So, if you're wanting to get a few extra veggies in your diet, you can always use veggies like these to make that happen in a delicious and nutritious way!

You know, the kind of day... you donโ€™t want to go for a run, yoga feels like a chore, and youโ€™re even falling asleep watching Netflix. We've all been there.

Try this quick fix.

Maybe youโ€™ve been a vegetarian or vegan for a while, or maybe itโ€™s new to you, but if youโ€™re anything like me, youโ€™ve had days where you feel like youโ€™re running on empty.

Don't get us wrong, we โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™ our daily Zuma (or even 2 daily Zuma's), but we also love the season, which means all the goodness like and .

Here is a lil' if you're in need of an alternative drink full of healthy herbs and spices (hey, it counts!) ๐Ÿ˜˜

1 (750 ml) bottle of dry red wine.
1 orange, sliced into rounds.
1/4 cup brandy (optional)
1/4 cup honey .
6 whole cloves.
2 cinnamon sticks.
2 star anise.
Optional garnishes: citrus slices (orange, lemon and/or lime), extra cinnamon sticks, extra star anise.
(I also like to add a dash of ginger to mine!)

All you need to do is bring the , orange and spices to a simmer for around 15 minutes (not a boil). Heck, you can let it mull for a really long time (and yes, you can do it in a ) and your house will smell DELISH!

Lover? We get it. We love our morning cup as much as the next guy, but when you're on to cup 2, or 3, or 7...well, maybe it's time to kick that to the curb. โ˜•

But you're still feeling the afternoon right? We get that too! Zuma is a great alternative to coffee (which can give you jitters, or if you're adding lots of syrups/milks etc can be loaded with calories), and has double the benefits; energy boost, hydrating, serving of green goodness?! Zuma . We all love eating food, but we hate wasting it - you know, mushroom stems, carrot tips, herb stems, asparagus stems, wrinkled potatoes or badly bruised apples?

An easy fix? Keep two bowls or Tupperware in your fridge - one for and the other for and .

You can throw asparagus and mushroom stems in with an onion and a potato and make a tasty soup (we've even thrown in wilted salad greens!). Things like bruised apples, carrot tips, and cilantro or basil stems can easily be added to juice.

is an awesome thing to do for lots of reasons, and one of those is ! Plenty of parts that you don't want to use in your worthy stir fry or are still loaded with goodness and fit into your diet in creative ways!
