We here at Creations Dance Studio are very excited for the chance to work with you and your child. Dancing should be taught in a fun, safe environment and should raise the self esteem of the dancer. The teachers and staff here at Creations Strive to do just that. We hope to make this a fantastic experience for you and your family. Our studio offers a family environment where memories and friends are created that last a lifetime. Most of the dancers that begin their dance training with Sheryl and Shannon remain through high school or longer.

Summer is here!!! Sign up for our hip hop camp and our dance camp as a way to get onto our hip hop, jazz and lyrical/contemporary teams. Ages start at just 5 years old and you could make it onto our petite team, mini team, junior team, or senior team. Recital is here!! Dress rehearsal is May 21. The show starts at 6 PM. Doors will open at 5:30 PM. Recital is May 22nd and 23rd. The show starts at 6 PM and doors will open to the public at 5:30 PM. You can buy flowers for your dancer at the show. Miss Sheryl will be there with concessions. Tickets will be available at the door. If you are interested in a recital DVD for $30 or a recital T-shirt that has all of the recital participants names on the back for $25, please text Miss Shannon at 309-258-9955. Below is the final recital schedule. If you are in the first 10 numbers, please have your dancer ready and in the dressing room by 5:50 PM. As always, we will have an after party dinner on Saturday after the show ends at Buffalo Wild Wings in East Peoria. You can call ahead with your order. Just ask for Courtney or Tim and let them know that you are with the Creations Dance Studio party. We will have information regarding tryouts, dance, camp, summer lessons, and tumbling camp coming out very soon. Our first two competitions are in the books. I am so proud of our students for doing so well and having fun doing it, and making it look easy. At Showstoppers Dance Competition we cleaned house!! We had 3 DOUBLE PLATINUMS, 22 PLATINUMS, & 3 GOLD, 11 First in Category, 8 Second in Category, 5 Third in Category, 1 Fourth in Category, 2 Fifth in Category, and 1 Sixth in Category. 90 Days (Seniors Alyssa and Ely), and Senior dancer Ely Corkron’s solo Creep, took home 1st place OVERALL. Senior dancer Laney Dawson’s solo I Love You took home 5th place OVERALL, as well as Make up your Mind (duet performed by Senior dancers Ely and Ellie), and also with 5th OVERALL is our Mini Hip Hop team with their group dance Cha-Ching$! Our Senior dance team took home 6th OVERALL, with their lyrical dance, Exile. Our Mini Dance Team also took 8th OVERALL for their Jazz Dance, Man Child, and 10th OVERALL for their tap dance to Pretty Girl Era!!!!

At GEMS Dance Competition we only had 2 competitors and 3 solos performed.
Ely Corkron performed Creep, and Ode to Love Lost. Kali McVey performed Fire on Fire. Ely received a Platinum for both dances, 5th OVERALL in the Triple Diamond Level, and a HIDDEN GEMS Award(you must have a score of 294 out of 300 MINIMUM to a quality for this award). Kali’s Fire on Fire won a High Gold, and a 4th OVERALL in the Double Diamond level.

I am so proud of all my teachers, helpers, parents, and most importantly the students that pour their hearts and souls out on that stage! You guys are amazing and I feel quite privileged to be your Director and Coach!!
