SPRING IS HERE! Get outside this weekend and take a deep breath (before the pollen starts flying) . It is time to take a stroll around your property and inspect your trees, shrubs, and lawn.
Somethings to look for:
Fallen limbs, deer damage, browning around the edges of leaves, evergreens that are off color (light green to tan), thin lawn, brown to white areas in the lawn.
If see any of this call to arrange for an Arborist to come and see how we can help your property spring into the new season!

Keep an eye out for fungus and molds in your lawn this spring. Due to all the snow and more importantly how long it stayed around....we are expecting to see a lot of Diseases and Molds this spring. If you notice funny colors or brown spots in your lawn call out the experts to diagnosis the problem. Many of these issues can cause significant lawn damage if left untreated.

It has been a couple of long days with more hazardous days ahead.
It is dangerous out there with many downed trees and limbs. Do not try to clear these yourself but call in a professional tree care company. Many limbs can be under pressure and cutting that limb or another could release that pressure causing further damage or injury. Again, call out a professional tree care company who understands these and many more hazards. Also, remember always look for wires and always assume they are LIVE. Everyone be safe and good luck.

Winter storms and snow loads can cause large tree limbs to fall and even whole trees to fail. If you suffer storm damage on your property call out the experts to clean up the damage. Our Certified Tree Experts can even assess the overall health and safety of the trees on your property to help minimize future storm damage.

In the spring, your lawn needs to be treated to help it “wake up” after a long winter. We will apply a special time-release fertilizer, as well as w**d control formulas to take care of crabgrass and broadleaf w**ds.

01/15/2014

The winter can cause significant damage and even death to broad leaf evergreens in your landscape. If you notice browning around the edge of the leaves, this is called winter burn. Contact us to protect your valuable landscape.

If you have to remove a large tree, don't attempt the job yourself. It's easy to get in over your head quickly. If there are electrical lines involved or nearby buildings to worry about, it's safer to call in a tree service professional who understands the potential problems and has ready solutions.

01/09/2014

It is never a good idea to top trees. Cutting main branches back to stubs is extremely harmful and unhealthy for trees. Stubs will grow back weakly attached branches that are higher and more likely to break during a storm.
