We've got some exciting news! We have added a few tours through Pleasant Bay in Orleans! We will paddle through the open waters and tucked away channels and be able to have a brief stop on Hog Island before paddling back! You can spot these alien looking Long Nose Spider Crabs in the shallow waters of Cape Cod. They have a unique way to naturally camouflage themselves by tearing bits of algae, sponges, or debris and sticking them to their backs to blend in with their surroundings.

Right now, Cape Cod is inundated with Lions Mane Jellyfish! Multiple thousands of them have gotten swept into the marsh with the tides. They are the largest jellyfish species and can reach up to 7 ft in diameter and have tentacles up to 100 ft long! Although, the ones on the Cape are much smaller.

On a recent fun trip to Puerto Rico, we spotted Oyster Catchers and Great Blue Heron, along with Great Egrets, Common Terns and Osprey. What do these birds all have in common with us? We're all on our way to Cape Cod for the summer! Looking forward to our summer kayaking season and spotting all these birds! The summer calendar is up now!
