Keep our beaches friendly for everyone! Sea turtle nesting season runs from May 1 to October 31. We really don't want to have a repeat of last year where we rescued 6 disoriented turtles in one day. Please follow these simple guidelines while enjoying beautiful St. George Island....
🐢Leave No Trace - please pick up and remove all items when you leave the beach
🐢Lights Out - cover beach facing windows at night, use only "turtle" approved flashlight covers, avoid flash photography
🐢Knock It Down/Fill It In - knock down sand castles/piles and fill in the holes
🐢Report Turtle Activity - do not disturb a nesting turtle or hatchlings

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office, 270 State Road 65, Eastpoint, invites the community to their annual Jingle at the Jail event on Friday, Dec. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. ET. 🎄🔔

Santa will be making a special appearance and giving out presents to visiting children! First responders will also light up the celebration with their lights, gear, bells and whistles at the “Touch a Truck” section.

Stop by this fun, family-oriented occasion where the sheriff's office will be serving up hot cocoa, cookies, hot dogs, and popcorn!
