Thanking our lucky stars… Hurricane Helene had us in her sights but decided to veer east at the last minute.

Left us with a slightly shorter boardwalk, and a bit of sand to cleanup but otherwise left Seabiscuit unscathed.

We should be ready for folks soon, check with Forgotten Shores if you have an upcoming reservation

Been a month since I last posted!

How time flies.

I hope everyone is enjoying the island and Sun Goddess.

Please remember that despite feeling like the island is in a time warp, COVID-19 is still out there. So please be mindful of social distancing and respectfully enjoying the islands amenities.

Stay safe and enjoy your summer!

Howdy folks!

I hope everyone is doing as well as can be during these extremely challenging times.

I do have a bit of good news. Seabiscuit is now allowed to host guests.

If you are a repeat guest, we are welcome to have you back. Please note that we will have to make some adjustments for your safety.

We will be taking extra care to clean, we will be pushing check in back from 4pm until 6pm, check out will remain at 10am. Please understand that we will not be abke to have late checkouts.

Due to the difficulty of cleaning comforters, we will be replacing all the bedding with quilts and we will be rotating fresh sets between each guests. Unfortunately, to expedite the delivery we will only be getting white beddings.

Throw pillows, throw blankets, and other soft objects will be put away.

Sanitizing board games and puzzles is not practical. So they will be put away. If this is an activity you enjoy during your stay, please provide your own, but do take them back with you.

Game consoles and remotes will be sanitized... so you’ll still be able to enjoy those.

Again, we look forward to you visiting our homes and we hope to provide you with hopefully hilight memories of your summer stays.

I hope that all our former and future guests are hunkering down and waiting for this COVID-19 threat to pass.

Our cleaning staffs are spending extra time on each of our properties to try to ensure that they are as germ free as reasonably possible.

While Seabiscuit is open for business, the county has closed our public beaches. Seabiscuit owns the beach up until the high water mark, so guests can enjoy the beach as long as they abide by social distancing requirements and mind the beach restrictions.

We expect this to be a short term occurrence as we all work towards flattening the curve and hopefully getting back to our daily lives.

If you are visiting Seabiscuit, we thank you for your patronage. Please respect the rules that are in place during your stay and continue to mind social distancing requirements.

As everyone does, we are looking forward to the return to normal. Until then, stay safe and stay healthy.

Recovery from Hurricane Michael will be an ongoing process. Time to help mother nature rebuild our dunes.
Please be mindful and enter the beach where the boardwalk ends and avoid the sand fencing areas. I wonder how many years (decades) it will be before the dunes and vegetation looks like the profile picture above?
