The mommas are nesting, the tags are going up, and we are feeling SO much love and support from our amazing community! 🌊✨

When you adopt a nest with St. George Island Sea Turtle Patrol Inc., you are helping us protect sea turtle nests right here on SGI all season long. Your symbolic adoption helps provide supplies for nest protection, screening, data collection, and conservation efforts under FWC Permit MTP-143. 🐢

Every adoption includes:
✨ Your name placed on a nest marker
📸 A photo of your adopted nest
📜 A personalized adoption certificate
🐣 An end-of-season update on your nest success

This season is extra special because it is our FIRST season as our very own nonprofit, 501(c)3 and we are beyond grateful for every share, donation, adoption, and kind word. 💚

Exciting 🐢

🚨🐢 WE HAVE OUR FIRST NEST OF THE 2026 SEASON!! 🐢🚨

The wait is officially OVER! Huge congratulations to Steve & Marcia in Section CC for finding the very first loggerhead nest of the season this morning on St. George Island! 🎉☀️

After days of beautiful sunrises, some much needed rainy days sandy walks, and lots of “maybe tomorrow…” — our momma turtle finally made her appearance! 💚

Section CC is officially on the board and the SGI Sea Turtle Patrol is ALL smiles today! 🐢👏

Now the real fun begins… early mornings, turtle tracks, protected nests, and another amazing season helping these incredible sea turtles! 🌊✨
