When you understand the assignment!!🐨

Sweet Kristin C. came to me with a very specific vision about her and her husband’s month long sabbatical journey to Australia & New Zealand: “I’m not talking look at koalas, I don’t just want to pet koalas, I want to hold them in my arms like a little baby.”

I’d say mission accomplished!!! 🇦🇺

Kristin got to hold a koala not once, not twice, but THREE times!! There are only a few places in the world that let you actually still hold koalas and we worked closely with our Australian partner to make this happen and keep tabs on current laws for the year ish between booking and departure. This is the kind of stuff we are thrilled to help travelers find and execute!! 🌱🌏

When I got the first koala pic mid March- it was instant tears for me! 🥹 Doesn’t she look just beautiful and sooo freaking happy?! I am ABSOLUTELY doing what I’m meant to be doing in life! 💃🥰🤩🙌🏻

This is the beloved Puerto Vallarta on Monday night ⭐️this week⭐️!! A gorgeous closing dinner for golf group of Americans that come back every year. They left as expected Tuesday - and the next group came in same day without any issue! This is at a great partner resort of ours and the sensational team there just does a sensational job for our VIP clientele!!!

This my friends is the truth … and what is actually happening in Mexico and specifically in Puerto Vallarta this week!!! Don’t fall victim to fear mongering, and AI generated falsehoods. We’ve got many enjoying all parts of Mexico right now without incident. 🇲🇽

We’re no stranger to uprising in MSP unfortunately. Food for thought …. The distance between Cabo or Cancun to PVR is the same as MSP to LA or NYC… and yet it was business as usual in those areas of our country when MSP was in the hot seat. So wouldn’t the same logic be applicable to visiting Cabo and Cancun now?

Everyone needs to make the decision that’s right for their families- and we fully support that!! However, having lived through other travel wrinkles, I also know first hand that time stops for no one. The travel warning remains unchanged in Cancun and Cabo. Business as usual for all of our travelers there right now. So for me and my team, my family and friends…. We will travel on!

‘We’ in the Aaberg house didn’t put out a single Christmas card this year. 🥹🫠Truly one of my favorite things- but I didn’t have it this year. I let it go and spent 2 weeks of glorious down time w the fam! A needed and appreciated rest and reset.

We did however put out a few hundred of our first ever travel magazine, to our loyal clients! 🤩 Hammer down today w the team in house working on our biggest wave & Spring Break season to date!! Excited to help so many awesome clients with their great escapes from the snow - and grand journeys to all the far reaching corners of our fabulous world!

This adventure deserves its own post!!! Path of the Gods- hike from Positano up to Nocelle. 1800+ steps/ straight freakin up! Most hike down into Positano…. but we went up and back down again.

Everyone who I send to this area - I give them an assignment to read One Italian Summer- a lovely book about a Mom Daughter relationship. So naturally - I assigned it to Lily- and she text when finished … we HAVE to hike Path of the Gods!!!!! AGREED!!!! Then 4 straight days of pasta and wine and seeing how far up it was …. I’m like meh…. Do we REALLY need to haul it up there?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣🤪🙃 But I pulled on my big girl hiking shoes and we went for it!

‼️Warning there’s huffing and puffing and a fair amount of swears in these videos🫣 but doing this w my girl… and let’s be honest - Giovanni 💪🏻 our fitness guide from Le Sirenuse 🤩😍 was so worth it! I truly didn’t know if I would make it … but Giovanni and his not so subtle patiently standing directly behind me so I would get the led out … pushed me up that literal mountain! Talk about intimidating! I seriously about became unglued when I rounded a corner and he was doing incline push ups balancing on the cement rail that we were standing on - on the way down. Ok Giovanni - we know your a chisled Italian God- but must you?! As I huff and puff to simply walk all the way up?! 🙄🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s funny now - but I was NOT laughing then!

So glad we did this - read the book- take the trip- haul your hinny up a mountain…. Laugh while doing it - red face and all!! It’s so worth it! 🤩😘⛰️

What a privilege to be in some of the most sought after places in Southern Italy w my most lovely +1!!

We did all the things, admired all the views, tasted all the delights, shopped, laughed, and never refused a limoncello!

I’ve had the great privilege of sending so many to this region and to revisit w my girl was simply sensational! Massive thanks to our partners who always show our clients the very best time! Im so grateful to have fabulous vendors who I call friends in every nook and cranny across the globe!

MEA Fall Break aboard the Disney Wish was Dreamy! We reclaimed our cruise that was canceled last year as Milton barreled through and changed our plans.

A quick 3 night escape to the Bahamas…. Games, shows, mini golf, great dinners, spa, island time, a fishing charter and rest! A pre night at Disney’s Riviera- w a rooftop dinner and fireworks as a bonus! Then a ‘little’ travel outage and a Paris jewel heist to welcome us home! Never a dull moment!

Take the trip- create a story to tell! Only one more MEA left in this house…. and I can say we’ve taken good advantage of that time over the last 2 decades! 🥹🥰☀️🚙

Almost two years ago we took Finn to for his birthday to the infamous Ambergis Cay!! 🏝️🐚🦀 A truly unforgettable experience—jammed between work trips, the 2 big kids in college so we were a new smaller family of 3, the idea seemed crazy…. but I was hot to trot to get back to this long time favorite! As I always say when our ViP clients ask me if they’re crazy to think they can pull off big things….. ‘where there is a will, a way, and a credit card …. ANYTHING is possible’!!!

Zero regrets- just look at the smiles, beach hair don’t care and bluest of blue water!! From island hopping to practicing driving the golf cart over the island and searching for crabs in the endless shallow surf, this was one perfect island getaway. The only issue was leaving - I literally cried. 😭 Hard to believe this guy will be 1️⃣7️⃣ in just a few weeks!! Take the trip! The time goes way too fast!! 🚙❤️

The Aaberg Travel Design team has spent the last 4 of 5 days✨weekend and all✨with partners from around the globe - educating ourselves on the latest & greatest, strengthening our relationships w spectacular vendors, improving our match making abilities to make sure we know exactly who to call depending on what our VIP clients have on their wish list!

We have stars in our eyes thinking of people that would love the adventures we are so lucky to learn about!

This massive education push - came immediately after we had team members in Fiji, Paris, Dominican Republic, and Hawaii last week. Which embodies our been there done that spirit!

THIS is exactly why when planning international adventures you should ask for our help. We invest a lot of time effort and money making sure we are absolutely EXCELLENT at what we do. We can’t wait to find a perfect match for you and your peeps!

I have been wanting to do this event for years! I love river cruising and know it is such a great fit for so many of our clients. Mid March I attended the global River Cruise Expo in Vienna - touring 16 ships first hand, and taking a deeper dive into all the offerings available in the market and the differences between them. I also pre-purchased a limited number of discounts to pass along to our clients who are interested in booking a river cruise soon - to sail in the next year or two. In addition we’ve negotiated a booking bonus for attendees of our event! Super excited!

Being in Vienna with all of the top river cruise vendors was a sensational experience and we’re thrilled to be featuring AmaWaterways on June 12th 7:00PM at The Vine Room in Hopkins, MN. They will showcase their amazing European and far reaching river cruise experiences around the globe.

If you’ve never been to the Vine Room - its darling, on Main Street, Hopkins with parking all around, but seats are limited. We’ll sip wine and have some savory bites, just as one does when river cruising!
