Join us on July 4th at Ebony Hills Golf Course for the Rio Grande Valley’s biggest Independence Day celebration!

Texas Cook'Em is the Valley's biggest steak competition, awarding $12,500 in prize money! The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce proudly presents its 15th Annual Texas Cook’ Em: High Steaks in Edinburg. The event is set to be held on July 4, 2021 at the Ebony Hills Golf Course, located on 300 W. Palm Dr.
Texas Cook’Em is one of Texas’s biggest BBQ purse, awarding $16,000 to the winners. In 2019, Texas C

ook’Em drew 120 cooking teams from across the state and over 3,000 citizens attended this State Championship event. Competitors will battle it out on the grill to cook the best chicken, ribs, pork brisket and rib-eye for money and a year’s worth of bragging rights. Winner of the cook off competition will be announced and awarded on this day. Texas Cook’Em will also include vendors, live music, a children’s fun area and of course delicious barbeque. Gates will open at 9 A.M. for attendees to enjoy family fun activities all day long. A performance by Def Leggend, the world's greatest tribute to def leppard will kick-off the FREE concert. At sunset attendees can expect a spectacular firework display. Followed by the performance of American Country Award winner, Easton Corbin. VIP tables with premier viewing will be available for purchase by contacting the Edinburg Chamber. Attendees in the general admissions area are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The Edinburg Chamber would like to thank the City of Edinburg-Government, the Edinburg Economic Development Administration, Bert Ogden Rio Grande Valley , and H-E-B for sponsoring this event. At Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg, we’re beyond grateful for the continued support of H-E-B, a true community champion that always goes above and beyond—not just for our events, but for our region and the entire country.

The Edinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau and Edinburg Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the 15th Annual Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg. On Saturday, July 4th, competitors will battle it out on the grill to cook the best chicken, ribs, brisket and rib-eye for money and a year’s worth of bragging rights. Texas Cook’Em is one of Texas’s biggest BBQ purse, awarding $30,000 to the winners. Last year, Texas Cook’Em drew more than 100 cooking teams from across the state and over 3,000 citizens attended this IBCA and SCA State Championship event. Texas Cook’Em will also feature LIVE MUSIC, FIREWORKS, vendors, a children’s fun area and of course delicious barbeque! Musical headliners are currently in the works. The Chamber respectfully requests your consideration in support of our upcoming Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg in order to continue creating wonderful family memories.
