Boaris

Boaris began losing his hair approx 2 months ago. At first, I thought it was just a normal shedding. I then realized no one else was shedding so I treated him topically for lice and mites with no improvement. I then did a topical treatment for to treat any fungal issues and help with hair regrowth. Nope that didn’t work either. I started him on a mini pig skin supplement and flax along with deworming him again.

Finally…. He’s starting to grow his hair back very slowly…ugh

Goat Bloat: Know the Signs

Goat bloat is a dangerous buildup of gas in the rumen that can become life-threatening very quickly.

Symptoms:

* Swollen or tight left side
* Loss of appetite
* Restlessness or discomfort
* Grinding teeth
* Labored breathing
* Lying down and unable to get up

Seriousness:
Bloat is an emergency. Severe cases can cause suffocation and death within hours if not treated.

Treatment:

* Get the goat moving if possible
* Administer a bloat treatment (per label directions)
* Massage the left side
