Edingsville: The Lowcountry Atlantis
Now a distant memory, the island village of Edingsville was once a summer resort for citizens of Charleston and Edisto Island. Established in 1824, the island was approximately ¾ of a mile off of Edisto’s current coastline. Families moved their belongings to the island each summer to avoid the humidity and bugs of the inland towns. In 1893, a hurricane destroyed the island, scattering belongings into the ocean. To this day, these marvelous pieces still wash up along our coastline at Edisto Beach!

Hey y'all!! Hope everyone is staying toasty warm this winter! We've been making some changes during these cold months and we would like to announce that we will be moving to a new place on the island. We are now located @ 487 Hwy 174, next to the Edisto Ace Hardware, a couple of miles before the beach. We are very excited about the changes and have some fun things planned out for this summer. They have everything you need to fix up your beach house and everything you want before you hit the beach during your vacation.
