Join Allen A.M.E Church for the 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, July 26th!

🕖 Registration begins at 7:00 AM
🚶‍♂️ Walk begins at 8:00 AM
📍 Starts at Allen AME Church and ends at the Botany Bay Gate
💲 $25.00 per person

This walk is held in memory of two beloved missionary trailblazers: Sis. Abbiedean Meggett & Sis. Sarah Bennett.

🦌 Turtle Tide Tuesday… with a twist!

This week we’re featuring Jack — a piebald deer sculpture painted by Ginger Sanders and Susalee Lamb, inspired by a real deer that was often spotted around Edisto. While he’s not a turtle, Jack proudly joins the Turtle Tide Art Project herd with charm to spare!

Sponsored by Friends of Edisto Beach State Park and the ACE Basin ELC, Jack is located at the Environmental Learning Center on Oyster Row Lane in the Edisto Beach State Park. Proceeds from his auction will go to benefit FRESPACE and support their conservation work.

While you're out visiting Jack, don’t forget — there are 9 other Turtle Tide sculptures waiting to be found around the island! 📸 Snap a photo with each one and post using for your chance to win a prize!🎁

Join the Edisto Beach State Park interpretive staff for a special nighttime adventure! Learn about the life cycle of Loggerhead sea turtles, then take a guided beach walk with the chance to spot a nesting sea turtle in action.
📅 Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays in June & July
🕘 9 PM – 12 AM
💲 $40 per person (ages 11+)

🐢 Turtle Tide Tuesday is here! 🐢

Say hello to this week’s featured turtle: Miss Edie, painted by artist Carmen Walling Brunson. With her soft green shell, pastel marsh scene, and graceful egret at sunset, Miss Edie is the picture of peace and Lowcountry charm. 🌅🕊️🌾

You can find her relaxing over at Edisto Palmetto Charters, LLC Captain Buddy Bizzell (970 Hwy 174), where she’s been greeting visitors and daydreaming about sunset boat rides. Sponsored by Edisto Palmetto Charters, proceeds from Miss Edie’s auction will benefit New First Missionary Baptist Church.

There are 7 turtles, a deer, an oyster, and a dolphin placed around the island—find them all, snap a photo, and share it using for your chance to win a prize! 🎁

🐢 Turtle Tide Tuesday is here! 🐢
We’re continuing our summer celebration of the Turtle Tide Art Project with this week’s featured turtle: St. Pierre!

Painted by artist Kimberly Godfrey Walters, St. Pierre features a vibrant coastal scene: a woman paddle-boarding with her dog, a shrimp boat sailing by, and a gentle manatee gliding through the water, and many other coastal creatures all set against the colorful and vibrant Edisto sunset. 🌅🐾🛶

You’ll find St. Pierre hanging out at Edisto Kennels (960 Walwood Rd), where rumor has it he’s been playing fetch and soaking up belly rubs with the pups. 🐶💙
Sponsored by Edisto Kennels, St. Pierre’s auction proceeds will benefit Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue.
This year’s art trail includes 7 turtles, a deer, an oyster, and a dolphin. Each one has been uniquely painted and placed at local businesses across the island. Visit them all for a full adventure!

🐢 Turtle Tide Tuesday is back! 🐢

We’re excited to kick off Turtle Tide Tuesday this summer after a very successful Turtle Tide Art Project in 2024. Our first turtle of the season is Meribel Blue, painted by artist Laura Urruty. Meribel Blue features a large blue oak tree surrounded by local birds and animals, and is proudly sponsored by Davis Architecture. Auction proceeds will benefit the Edisto Island Open Land Trust.

You can find Meribel Blue getting lost in the flowers and snacking on fresh treats at Kings Farm Market!

Make sure to visit Meribel Blue and the other nine animals around the island. While you’re there, snap a picture with each one and post it on Facebook using for a chance to win a prize! 🎁
