Quick update for those traveling to Mexico!!
We know that when things happen in areas youre planning to visit sound concerning, that there are many questions regarding safety and logistics. We take your safety and investment seriously, and are continually monitoring updates from reliable and trusted sources. We are here to breakdown options and walk you through any changes that need to be made.
Here are some things to consider as of now:
~Currently, travel to the Caribbean side of Mexico, including Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya area, continues under a Level 2 U.S. State Department advisory. Airports are fully operational.
~Reports have focused on the state of Jalisco on the Pacific Coast, which is approximately 1,500 road miles from the Caribbean resort areas. (30 hours) This travel advisory has been updated to a Level 3.
~Current advisories can be viwed here: https://travel.state.gov/en/international-travel/travel-advisories/destination.html
~Dont cancel your Cancun/Riviera Maya trip based on recent Puerto Vallarta news before you breathe a moment and step away from social media. There’s so much misinformation being shared on all platforms. AI isnt helping as fake photos and videos are out there too, spreading fear and falsities.
~Keep perspective. Mexico is huge! Think of it in terms of the US. Canceling your vacation over events in Puerto Vallarta can be compared to canceling a trip to Disneyland because of something crazy happening in NYC.
~Each traveler has their own level of comfort. If it will stress you while on vacation and you feel like canceling is best for you, it’s ok! But before you do a knee-jerk cancellation, make sure you’re taking solid advice and reading true information! In the end, we want each traveler to make the best decision for themselves and their families!
~If working with a travel advisor, talk about your concerns and options before making the quick decision to cancel. You’ve been waiting for this vacation for a long time!
~Check the article I linked in the comments from the Cancun Sun. It is a trusted local source to follow to help visitors stay informed about what's actually happening in the Cancun/Riviera Maya region.
~We are so concerned for our partners who live the the Jalisco area. Many resorts, tour operators and transportation providers are being affected and we pray for peace and calm to come quickly to one of the areas we love so much!
~We will stay up to date for all areas affecting travel and our clients!! When things change, for better or worse, we will provide updates!!
