Y’all remember how I said July was the slowest booking month of my entire career? Well, August was the HIGHEST booking month of my career as a travel agent! 🤯😭

Running a travel business always ebbs and flows, but I will always stand by the fact that your slow months will absolutely get made up for as you stay consistent. And boy was that truer than ever for me this summer! I’m so so grateful to all of my amazing clients who have trusted me with their trips! This month had a great mix of repeat clients (love that we get to continue working together on all your magical trips!), several referrals (thank you!!), and lots of brand new people who found me too! It’s been a wild ride this past month as my husband accepted a new job and we’ve started the process of moving, but I couldn’t be more grateful to have had such a thriving month 🙌🏻

One of the biggest mistakes I see first-time Disney travelers make is jumping straight into booking the resort they saw was popular on TikTok.

Want a little inside scoop into life as a travel agent? Summer bookings as an agent can be tough. It’s a slow season of booking, but a busy season of traveling! So the payoff of all the trips booked previously that are now traveling over the summer is awesome! But because so many people are actually on their vacations, not many are booking new vacations just yet. In fact, this July was my slowest booking month in my entire career. However, it was one of our busiest months for our family activities so I was kind of grateful for a slow down at work. And the crazy thing about building a business is how much it ebbs and flows. The slow months absolutely get made up for, and in my case it was almost immediately. In the very first day of August I booked 3 trips and surpassed what I booked for the entire month of July in just one day 😅 The momentum is picking up and now that my kids officially started school I am here for it! So what were the two lucky trips of July? Let’s take a look!

The truth? The best Disney vacation looks different for every family.

A family with toddlers has very different priorities than a couple celebrating an anniversary. A first-time visitor needs a different strategy than someone who’s been five times. And the “perfect” resort for one family might be completely wrong for another.

That’s why I never start with, “Which hotel do you want?”

It may not seem like a ton, but several of these clients are traveling during Thanksgiving break or close to Christmas break so the fact that Disney is offering ANY kind of discount for that time of year is pretty great! Plus if someone handed you $138 are you going to say “nah, that’s not much”?😅 We will take any kind of savings we can get!
