Thank you to everyone (passengers, crew, volunteers, caterer) who made the spring/summer season a big success! We take a break during the hot dry part of summer and start again with a fun train robbery on Saturday, August 30. Get the details and book your seats online at www.eaglecaptrainrides.com. We're on right track for a fun and exciting season! Summer rides include our standard Two Rivers or the Minam Bonus, our longest, that features amazing Wallowa River scenery and a lunch stop at Minam where the Wallowa and Minam rivers come together. Or choose a shorter but still scenic Seasonal Short ride, created with families in mind. We have had an amazing season on the excursion train, and, after tomorrow, we will close out the 2024 season with four great rides in October. There is still time to make reservations and catch a ride this fall to enjoy the colors and autumn scenery along the rivers.
Also, keep the train in mind when planning your holiday gift giving. Gift certificates are available for dollar amounts that can be used on any scheduled ride during the 2025 excursion season. Contact us for information or go to the website to make your gift certificate purchase.

It's another beautiful spring day here in Northeast Oregon! Bright sunshine mixed with clouds. Birds singing and frogs out in force at dusk. The grass is greening, creeks are flowing and snow-capped peaks stand guard above the awakening valleys. Just think about it! You can enjoy all of this natural wonder from the comfort of a vintage train, as it rumbles along beside the Grande Ronde and Wallowa rivers! Train volunteers and the track crew are busy getting the equipment and track ready for the start of the 2024 season, which begins May 8, and really gets rolling with the popular Mother's Day Brunch, May 12.
