On this solemn anniversary of September 11, 2001, we honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of the first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Today, our nation pauses to remember those who never made it home - and those who have since lost their lives to illnesses connected to their service at or near the World Trade Center site.
May we never forget their names, their stories, their sacrifice, or the profound impact they left on our nation.

It's been 25 years since the 9/11 terror attacks on America. On Friday, the nation will remember those lost on that fateful day and take a moment of silence in their memory.
On this quarter-century anniversary of the attacks, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum will add a seventh moment of silence to honor those who have died of illnesses related to their time at or near the World Trade Center site.
