Boo our amazing 15 day Panama Canal has officially ended! We are off the ship and in a comfy bus waiting to head to LAX.

Had such a great time, it was so nice to have another couple on the cruise with us. No drama, no fuss if we did/did not do the same excursion, instead we compared notes and we always ran into one another even when on different tours. No fuss about where to eat we chose the Manhattan Room most night except for 4 of the 5 specially dining. We each decided to have 1 romantical dining as a solo couple! We are already planning our next cruise with J&R, where should we go next? What would you like us to explore next? Well besides the British Isles cruise in August where we explore Ireland, Scotland and France.

Day 15 of 15, spent the morning watching the whitecaps, bundled up on the balcony, a pod of dolphins (no photos, as they didn’t keep up with the ship). Definitely can tell we are no longer in South America, it is not just a little chilly on the deck it is down right cold!

Enjoying this bittersweet day 😞. It is our last day at sea before they kick us off the ship bright and earlier tomorrow in Los Angeles! Thankfully was able to catch an early flight home leaving at 2PM so that we land around 5:30PM in Denver. Ugh, I wasn’t sure how a 15 day cruise would go, I now know that I could do a longer cruise no problem! Sad sad day, 😞. Okay guess I should pack the suitcases so that we can enjoy the rest of our time on board. Having our final dinner at Cagney’s.

Day 14 of 15 in Cabo San Lucas, and we walked around, enjoyed a seat Senior Frogs (although it had no accessible bathroom stalls, sadness) nachos were sadly just okay and drinks not so much. But it was still a gorgeous day. Very short stop though.

Day 10 of 15 puerto Quetzal Guatemala - went on excursion to Antigua Guatemala. It was a long drive, short stay in town. Worth coming back and exploring more. Many historical buildings. Our tour guide was so-so.

Hadn’t seen so many container ships ever, counted over 25. It started to get dark and some turned on their lights it was absolutely stunning.

Got another stamp in my passport today, very rare to get stamps when sailing from port to port.

Day Six of Fifteen, today we sailed through 2 locks into the lake past Gamboa before the next 2 locks before arriving to the Pacific Ocean. It was a rainy, foggy, humid crossing. Unfortunately, we didn’t see many animals other than birds and the elusive plastic bag monkey hanging on the fence as we went through the first set of locks. Had dinner at La Cuchina with J&R, the spaghetti carbonara appetizer was big enough to be an entry and the 12 inch pizza was definitely more than a 1 person serving. Tomorrow is another sea day before we do a river cruise in Costa Rica, where hopefully we see some sloths, crocodile, and maybe some toucan birds.

Day Five port visit in Colon Panama, took an excursion to see the original locks and an IMAX presentation by Morgan Freeman. Out guide Josie was excellent, it was yet another chaotic scene at port loading buses very disorganized yet we made the strong lemonade, along with seeing the locks we got to go to the Pacific side of the island and see the newly added ship docks and a panoramic view of Panama. The weather Gods were nice to us, as we loaded the bus after almost 90 minutes in the morning it started to rain, by the time we arrived at the locks it was dry and warm, not too hot. Then on our drive to Panama City it rained and when we stopped for panoramic pictures it was not raining. All in all a great day! Oh and our excursion was again a level 2, not sure why it was not difficult at all.
