Let’s talk about food on Royal Caribbean.

You have a main dining room that will serve three course dinners every evening, then served breakfast and lunch. Our food here was good but not amazing but your experience will vary on that depending on the ship.

The buffet (the windjammer) is open for all three meals. We found that they served some of the specialty food in the evening that was on the menu for the main dining room dinner. We found it to not be too chaotic but we weren’t eating at prime meal periods.

Many of the ships have a solarium bistro that is in the adults only section of the ship. We loved breakfast and dinner here. The quality and selection were great and it was less chaotic. We did see some kids eating here so it seems they can eat there but not go out into the actual solarium.

There’s of course a frozen yogurt place included. This ship had a hot dog house, grab and go cart that had really great food, and two places that you could grab fruit and sandwiches. Park place was a highlight for me for breakfast.

This is just examples of the food places included in your cruise, we did not do any specialty dining.

I want to start talking about my Royal Caribbean experience this last fall in anticipation of a special deal my clients will have access to starting next week! If you've been thinking about booking a Royal Caribbean cruise... now is the time to get serious!

In October, my friend Kari and I did an "ultimate girls weekend" cruise on Utopia of the Seas. This is an Oasis class ship and sails out of Port Canaveral. Every sailing stops at Perfect Day at Coco Cay, which I'll talk about later!

Embarkation was seamless. I think we were on the ship in less than 10 minutes after being dropped off by our Lyft.

Oasis class ships have "neighborhoods." The ship is so big that they have inside balconies that look out over either the Boardwalk area or Central Park. We had a Boardwalk balcony room and I actually liked it.

Here's some pictures and videos of the Central Park, Promenade, and Boardwalk areas! The ship was gorgeous, huge, but I never really felt like it was that crowded.

Huuuggeee deal alert! Kids sail free on select sailings between October 2026 and March 2027. Kids under 18 are included.

Deal requires 2 full adult fares and must be booked by June 14.

I fully expect this deal to drastically lower Disney Cruise Line's availability so message me ASAP if you want to take advantage of this! Book a shorter cruise for cheap and then you can take advantage of a placeholder for your next longer cruise!

Our final full day at sea we got to meet Minnie and Daisy in their princess outfits. Henry went to the kids club for a bit for a video game session.

We explored the ship, I spent some more time in the Rainforest room, and we had dinner at Rapunzel's. We had dinner there the first night, but this night was the full dinner theater show where it's Rapunzel's birthday! It was amazing, the food was great, the show was fun, and the characters were so good.

We had one more show to see which means Simon got one more bucket of popcorn. We did more pictures.

When you get back to your stateroom on your final night they leave your luggage tags out for you. If you want your luggage taken off of the ship for you, you need to leave it out by 10 PM the last night. They will magically be taken off of the ship for you to pick up when you're off!

We loved our dining team and stateroom attendant SO much but we did have one more breakfast with them the next morning.

Just wanted to share about Disney's new credit card offer. It's helping us to pay for some of our next Disney trip so we thought it could help you with yours!

The new Disney Inspire card currently has a referral offer where if you're approved you automatically get a $300 Disney e-gift card. If you spend $1000 in the first 3 months you'll get a $300 statement credit. There are also other rewards you can get if you are spending money for a Disney resort or tickets.

But if you're thinking of planning a trip for end of this year or next year, this could be $600 applied to it within a few months. The Disney Visa cards get you extra discounts at certain dining locations at Disney and the best is 20% off at Joffrey's!

Finally resuming our 2025 trips recap!

Our day 4 on the cruise ended up being a day at sea. We were supposed to heading to Lighthouse Point, but Hurricane Erin had other plans. The captain took us close to Miami where the seas were not so rough and the skies were blue!

Disney pulled out all the characters for us though. They brought the main characters out in their Lighthouse Point Junkanoo outfits. They brought out some Marvel characters (we saw Thor and Spiderman, but Henry really wanted to meet Black Panther!).

Our dinner was at Animator's Palate and it was magic here!

Then they showed Freakier Friday in the main theater since it had just come out in theaters. Simon and Henry made it through the entire movie and we all laughed hysterically. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet.

Henry and I ended our evening again by watching a movie on the Funnel Vision and eating some pizza!

New Disney deals have dropped! Same deal on resorts but the dining plan deal is available without the Disney visa now (minus the resort deal).
