The Southern Fried Sci-Fi Festival was held in October 2010. It was a collaboration between the Historic State Theater and the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center both located in Ellizabethtown, Kentucky. It included the showing of fanfilms, classic Star Trek movies, a skype Q&A appearance by "Rod" Roddenberry, an exhibit of fan collectibles, performances of "Star Trek Live!" and a concert by Ronny Cox, a frequent sci-fi genre performer.

Sadly, there are no plans to continue producing the festival at this time.
