2 Day NB Trip:

George came back from Alaska like a man possessed. Smallie Pox warning in full alert. After a few days on the Main with Glenn, George joined me on the NB for 16 hours of fishing spread out from Tuesday evening through Thursday morning.

We had 1 full day of flat river levels and 1 full day of a slow and steady rise. The action could NOT have been better. Solo George landed the lions share of over 168 smallmouth and a cat or two.

He fished wind, rain, drizzle and mud while throwing a wide variety of lures from top to bottom and points in between until he found that “one” catch all lure.

Rest your shoulders my friend. I’ll see you in October.

With fish 15-20+ inches and more water in the forecast for next week, timing is pretty good for the Susquehanna Main Stem. Give us a call to get in on this great end of summer action.

Opportunity for us yesterday morning to host Lee from F**T Lures and Jimmy Ly from Rawr fishing to test out a few new colors and talk tackle.

Early morning rain was a bit of a nuisance, but ended after about 90 minutes. Fishing was surprisingly slow with the first few bass coming on the VIG and Javelin in the latest color Dark Matter. Moving from deep water to shallow, the 4.5” Javelin in one of the new colors ‘Nurple’ did quite well.

Bass were caught on 5 baits and in all the new colors including a yet to be named dirty water special that I think was the winner of the day. The photo of that one will have to wait a while.

A few nice thick ones, but no monster bass during this short outing. It was nice meeting you Jimmy, and Lee, as always lots of fun. Until our next Adventure, keep it Reel!

Delaware River Report: Andrea and Laurie joined Anthony on the Delaware last evening, seeking redemption after their previous attempt was cut short due to severe thunderstorms and heavy rain.

The weather was perfect, with absolutely gorgeous conditions last evening. They successfully boated 33 bass, with the best two measuring 17 inches, one for each of them. Nearly everything coming on F**T Lures.
They already booked their Fall outing for October.

Susquehanna River Report:

Different week, same result! George enjoyed the way the Main River fished last week that he jumped at the next bump in river levels. It’s all anbout taking advantage of these opportunities and boy was it a good choice!

Numbers and size were fantastic with a fat 19" to cap the day. Fish were fighting hard and going airborne! Ned, swims and on top… it was a “you choose” what lure outing.

Levels won’t hold for long. Glenn has morning and evening openings for tomorrow (Sunday), Monday, and Tuesday. Give him a call to get in on the action. 540-247-4152

Delaware River Report:

Yesterday evening Don played hoast to Todd and Bart. Action and size was solid during the short evening trip. Best of all, another Reel River Adventure client landing their PBS. (personal best smallmouth).

Bart landed his all-time personal best, a 19 inch smallmouth. We even got Bart to smile once while fighting his monster.

They landed just over 30 bass with a few really nice bass. Fish were caught on F**T Lures Notta-Flukes and Swim Baits. The Delaware River bite is solid right now.

Delaware River Report.

Guys had 2 boats out for some fun fishing this afternoon. Combined they landed just under 80 bass on a variety of lures. Best two were 18.75” and a good many over 16”.

As I have been sharing, one of the mildest August’s I’ve fished through and the bite has not disappointed. Seems like a decent bite from Upper Bucks to on up river through the Delaware National Rec Area.

George is back from his Alaska Adventure and ready to get back to his River Bass’n.

He joined Glenn for a split with Glenn on the Main Stem. The first hour or so was a bit slow but Glenn kept the Raptor on the move and as always George fishes hard and found a good bite with size and numbers.

George’s best as just north of 17" and one of the fattest river smallmouth Glenn has ever seen. Quite a bit of that going around 😉

Swims, topwater and George brought his secret hellgramite that did good work.Thanks George for choosing Reel River for all your smallie adventures.
