Grass River Natural Area Boardwalk Ribbon Cutting tomorrow (9/11)

Don't forget - THIS SATURDAY, 11 am - 1 pm is the Grand (re)Opening Celebration of the longest ADA-Accessible Boardwalk in Michigan - right here at the Grass River Natural Area.

This is an "open house" style event, so stop in any time. There will be cool and interesting interactive "stations" set up throughout the boardwalks - if you can "find" at least 5, you'll win a free, limited-edition sticker suitable for vehicles or water bottles. If you "find" at least 10 - you'll win a free hot dog & chips from Dinger’s Dawgs who will be on-site all day selling hot dogs, chili dogs and fresh lemonade.

There will be live music, an artist creating beautiful landscapes (and the chance to win a piece of original art created that day) and a storybook reading station with the Northwest Early Childhood Network. Each child who stops to enjoy a story will receive a copy of the book and a bag from PoWeR! Book Bags.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a special ribbon cutting at Waters Edge Market - Elk Lake as we welcomed the new owners and celebrated the store’s updates, fresh look and all of the new offerings.

Located on Cairn Highway in Kewadin, Waters Edge Market has a little bit of everything — hearty breakfast burritos, fresh-made subs, artisan pizza, salads, baked goods, coffee, drinks and plenty of grab-and-go options.

Kewadin Community Church will be hosting a Lasagna Dinner, tonight (September 9th) from 5PM – 7PM
The dinner will include garlic bread, salad, a vegetable, and Texas Sheet Cake for dessert.
Everyone is welcome. All proceeds will benefit local charities.
