Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but we have not forgotten the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that day, the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

We remember their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.
We remember a nation that came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we continue to carry forward the unity, compassion, courage, and strength that brought Americans together in the days that followed.
