As members of this community, we believe that protecting individuals must always be a top priority. We stand firmly for the safety, well-being, and innocence of the youth and as well as the elderly and support the laws that exist to protect everyone from exploitation, abuse, and harm. Our members have discussed on many occasions, the safety measures needed to secure everyone in attendance and to our knowledge there has never been a threat of harm or danger to any of those that have attended during the decades of services.

Our concern is not about division or personal attacks—it is about the welfare and health of our community. We believe that respect for the law, accountability for criminal behavior, and compassion for the helpless are essential to maintaining a safe environment for families.

We will continue to support efforts that protect families, encourage responsible citizenship, and promote a community where people can feel confident and safe. This stance is not a political issue or a personal issue—it is a community responsibility.

Our former pastor of 50+ years (Bro. Buzzy Deane - father and grandfather of our current pastors) Used to say this during difficult times:
”LOVE WILL PREVAIL”

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank our friends, family, church family, and community for the overwhelming support, encouragement, prayers, and kind words during a difficult time.

Recently, false statements and accusations have been posted about us and our church on social media. While it is painful to see misinformation being shared, we remain committed to handling this situation with integrity, truth, and respect.

We are currently seeking legal counsel regarding these defamatory statements and determining the appropriate steps to protect our personal and church families. We believe that truth matters, and we trust that the facts will ultimately speak for themselves.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, stood by our side, and offered support. Your friendship and encouragement mean more than words can express. We ask for your continued prayers as we navigate this situation and seek wisdom moving forward.

This Memorial Day, Sandy Bottom Church honors the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Today we remember their sacrifice, pray for their families, and thank God for the blessings we enjoy because of their courage.

We are overflowing with joy as Tanner Morris received the “Future Pastor” Award this week at United Christian Academy! What an incredible honor and a beautiful reminder that God has a special plan and purpose for his life.

Tanner, we are so proud of your love for Jesus and the way you shine His light wherever you go. Keep following God’s calling and never stop being a blessing to others!
