Historic throwback - 🤠 Rodeo Edition!

Before the crowds, before the grandstands, before it became what we know today… it started with a community.

In the late spring and early summer of 1923, hundreds of local men, women, and children came together to build the Kittitas County Fairgrounds—home to what would become the iconic Ellensburg Rodeo Grounds. Week by week, they worked side by side, shaping a space that would go on to host generations of rodeo tradition.

That same spirit is alive again today.

As the rodeo grounds undergo renovations, we’re not just updating a venue—we’re continuing a legacy that’s been built, maintained, and reimagined by this community for over a century.

Different tools. Different time. Same purpose.
Here’s to honoring where it started and building what’s next.
