Our thoughts are with the people of Nepal and the communities affected by the recent devastation along the country’s northern border.
With expeditions approaching this October, we wanted to share this map to give our travelers and friends some geographic perspective.
Many of the areas we visit—including Kathmandu, the southern wildlife regions and our expedition areas around Bardiya—as well as the Everest Base Camp region, are geographically separate from the hardest-hit areas shown here.
We remain in close contact with our partners on the ground and will continue to follow local conditions carefully as October approaches. Above all, this is a time to think of the families and remote communities whose lives and livelihoods have been affected.
Nepal has welcomed us with extraordinary warmth for many years. Today, we stand with Nepal.
