Open up the French doors to the large screened porch and let the sounds of the river wash over you while you watch the birds and deer visit. Stroll down to the back yard, where you’ll find a hot tub, cedar barrel sauna and firepit area with Adirondack chairs. Enjoy the private beach located right on the river, where you can launch your kayak, go tubing down the Coosawattee or just play in the sand. When the day comes to an end, enjoy a movie on the terrace level with a gas fireplace and game room. Every bedroom is beautifully decorated with tranquil decor that will quickly dissolve your stress away. The cabin is located in a private gated community just minutes from downtown Ellijay and 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Rivershire Cottage is now pet friendly, with a fenced front yard, orthopedic dog bed and dog bowls for the main and terrace levels. Happy Fall Friday from Rivershire Cottage! Meet Kiwi and Apple, our rescue dogs. (Today is the second anniversary of their Gotcha Day!) They love Rivershire so much, it inspired us to make it pet friendly for guests. It became clear this summer that we needed a fence to keep dogs safe and give them room to run. We now have a large fenced-in area in the front yard, while keeping the riverfront back yard and woods on the side wide open for guests to enjoy. We have an orthopedic dog bed and plenty of bowls for the terrace and main levels (our dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms). And, Blue Sky Cabin Rentals does a great job of deep cleaning after each visit to keep it fresh for all. We're happy to announce that after a brief hiatus, Rivershire Cottage has rejoined the Blue Sky Cabin Rentals family! We've enjoyed this beautiful cottage and made a few improvements over the summer. Now we'd like to share it with you again! It is a special place, and we're proud to be its new caretakers.
