Heads up on a new scam for those flying. Clients flight was significantly delayed because of mechanical issues and somehow they ended up on a 3rd party site and ended up paying for flights after being informed if they didn't they would not be able to fly home the next day. I thought it was super strange they were not just rebooked as it showed on the reservation they were.

After much research they realized it was a scam.

Post flight delays where the airline can tell you will miss your connection it is normal for them to book you on the next available option. You should see this on your app or the desk agent should inform you of this. Sometimes it lets you pick flight options yourself but make sure you watch the AM and PM times. Always make sure you are in the App or talking to a gate agent to avoid this type of scam. Always be nice to the agents if you need to speak to them and remember they are doing their best for you.

Read an article today that using glycerin soap or cosmetics can cause an airport security swab to come back positive for GSR. The more you know.
