SAVE THE DATE!

Join us on October 15 for a special Business After Hours hosted by SOS in celebration of their 50th anniversary and in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

This year’s event will take place at the Lyon County History Center, where a featured exhibit will highlight SOS’s impact over the past five decades, along with the history of the 1970s sexual assault movement in the local community and across Kansas. The exhibit opens to the public the day prior to the event and will remain available through the end of October, making this a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and reflect on the vital work SOS has done in our region.

Come network with fellow Chamber members while supporting an organization that has made a lasting difference in our community.

TOMORROW! A GREAT NIGHT OUT FOR A GREAT EMPORIA CAUSE!

Zoo Brew: A Night in the Wild is back tomorrow, September 26! Hosted by Emporia Friends of the Zoo, this annual 21+ fundraiser is a fun way to get out, connect with others in our community and support one of Emporia’s favorite local attractions, the David Traylor Zoo. The evening will feature multiple drink vendors, food, music and a 50/50 raffle. Best of all, proceeds from the event go directly toward supporting the zoo and the important role it plays in our community.

Tickets are available at EFOZ.org, by calling 620-341-4365, at the Zoo Office at 75 Soden Rd., or from any EFOZ Board member.

HORNET FAMILIES AND FRIENDS ARE HEADED TO EMPORIA TOMORROW!

Emporia State University’s Family and Friends Day is tomorrow, September 19, bringing ESU families, friends and visitors to Emporia for a full Saturday of activities.

There’s plenty happening throughout the day, including FREE campus activities, planetarium shows, birdwatching, Fan Fest and Live at the Hive.

With so many visitors in town, it’s also a great day to show off our Emporia hospitality. Stop for a meal, do a little shopping, explore our community and help us give Hornet families and friends a warm Emporia welcome!
