Guess what? Only 19 more years until the 2045 Total Solar Eclipse in Enid, Oklahoma! Plan on being here, I will be holding a huge watch party!

Weather in Enid today was hot with sunny blue skies. The temperature around eclipse time was 95 degrees. Forecast was: Sunny and hot today, with a high near 105. Heat index values as high as 108. South southwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Enid will be in the Path of Totality on Saturday, August 12 from 11:48 AM to 11:54 AM CDT. Complete darkness will last over 5 minutes in our area.

AUGUST 12: Each year from 2025 to 2045 I'll be posting the weather for August 12 to give us an idea of what the weather might be for the eclipse.

2025: 67° this morning. Mostly sunny today, with a high of 89. Light and variable wind becoming W at 5 mph. Mostly clear tonight, with a low of 68. Light and variable wind. The photo was taken in the morning of August 12.

Maximum totality in the Enid, Oklahoma area will be around 11:48 AM to 11:54 AM CDT. Totality lasts over 5 minutes in the Enid area.

We made it to another total eclipse of the sun! That makes two visits to totality which make me an official eclipse chaser! Here's the tale of our adventure to the eclipse of 2024.
