Meet Qyuhn Nguyen--one of our latest students at FRH working with CFI/CFII Wes Carse. She felt a calling to become a pilot and has taken the steps to action on it. After coming by and meeting our team, checking out our easy location and clean, top-maintained helicopters, she is very comfortable trusting us with her investment and has the complete support of our team to help her reach her goal. We are happy to have her with us!!! We know it's a big step for a lot in respect to time and finances. We've each been there on our own journey to becoming pilots--equity lines on homes to pay for training, juggling work and family, etc. We at FRH respect that and can assure that when you show up, we will make the best of your time. We have a dedicated training area located right here at our airport saving you money and time. Our team cares about your success!! We'll keep you updated on Qyuhn!! She is about 3 lessons in and a lot to absorb, but you can see she is loving it!

We are proud to be supporting the Metro State University with their Aviation and Aerospace Program. They hosted an open house this past week. Had a lot of interest in our helicopter training. Toreika Brown - Commercial Fixed Wing Pilot in the MSU program, came out to try our Intro Flight with CFI/CFII Jeri Hendricks. MSU is a great way to use your college funds/grants to pay for your helicopter training. Up to $35K available per semester for flight training!!!! Simply enroll in MSU Aviation and Aerospace and register for the Heli Lab. Then take your training at out location at Erie Municipal Airport (just 21 miles north of campus).

Front Range Heli was visited by our Chief Pilot Al and his partner Tim from Total Flight Solutions (TFS) in NC to talk about how we can expand our operation here on training and commercial ops to meet the customer demand now for things like VA GI Bill and Jet Turbine ops. We made a trip up to Trans Aero at KFNL in Fort Collins CO to check out the Blackhawk that Jeri Hendricks flies SIC with them. Her boss is Markus Rodal the Asst Chief Pilot there. Markus used to CFi at TFS and I personally received training from him. Haven't seen his operation and we decided to go for a field trip today. Pretty incredible the helicopter support they provide here in CO as well as Texas and the Grand Canyon area!! Great things are coming at Front Range Heli!! Student Spotlight: Sarah 🚁✨

This week, our student pilot Sarah got the chance to put her training into action during a special anniversary ride! We got her to co-pilot this mission along with her instructor Wes as well as perform grounds safety — the perfect way to apply what she’s been learning to a real-world scenario!

Opportunities like this are such an exciting part of training with Front Range Heli. It’s not just about the textbooks, it’s about building confidence, hands-on skills, and learning to provide unforgettable experiences for her future guests.

Way to go, Sarah! 👏 You’ve been crushing your training and we can’t wait to see you continue to grow as a pilot!

Meet The Pilot: Jeri Hendricks
Flight Instructor CFI/CFII

Welcome Jeri, our newest pilot at Front Range Heli! Jeri is currently out fighting fires in this Hawk, and she is also flying tours in our R44.

As a certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor she will also begin helping train our students when she comes off season in October. When she’s not flying helicopters, you can find her out having fun skydiving.

We’re super excited to have Jeri and we highly recommend experiencing a helicopter tour with her 🚁✨

First come first served! Fly in to Erie Municipal Airport (KEIK) starting at 8am to purchase a slice of pie, take a $50 helicopter ride, and learn about helicopter flight/obtaining your rotorcraft pilot’s license.
