Thursdays in the summer Snow Farm Vineyard and Distillery are synonymous for epic outdoor music concerts. Sunday at the vineyard was for balloon launching. We’re waiting to add a balloon launch to one of those Thursdays - but wind conditions must be very specific. Last night, they were. Enjoy the flight from S. Hero over Mallett’s Bay. Received an email from a passenger who sent this note: “Hello, Our anniversary is approaching of our wedding in your balloon, I wanted to share my tattoo, thank you for the great memories.” I replied asking if I could share this on our socials.

Couple of takeaways:
-we do in-flight weddings which can be privately for an eloping couple, or your entire wedding party (up to 14 passengers)
-you aren’t required to get a tattoo of our balloon to book this service
-we don’t provide tattoos but do provide flights that leave a lasting impression 🥁 😂

Murray - A farmer with a sense of humor:

When the French started flying balloons in 1783, nobody knew the intentions of these beasts from the sky. So the farmers would gather up their weapons (pitchforks, scythes, knives, etc) and attempt to protect themselves when they first saw them land. Well, when a present-day farmer has learned this bit of trivia from both flying with us and celebrating with us at landings, and decides to add his own bit of dramatic flair to the experience by greeting us with a pitchfork. And his own champagne flute from a previous landing.

In addition to his aspirations to be a stand-up comic, Murray also grows Christmas trees, beef, berries, maple syrup, and field crops.

We put a litte spin on apple picking at Chapin Orchard 🍎 last night with a slightly different approach. Our flights always conclude with a champagne 🍾 celebration (and non-alcoholic options). Our fall flights also include fresh-pressed apple cider from Chapin Orchard.
