The Adventures of Piggy, Al, and Moo

We made the trip from South Carolina to Suwanee, GA yesterday to visit John’s friend from high school, and his family. Had a wonderful evening downtown Suwanee listening to live music and enjoying Mexican food on a patio.

As you can see in the pics, Archie got ahold of the remote. Now we know why the Marriott charges an extra $75/nt for dogs!

Left this morning and headed to Nashville, TN. We are doing the Jack Daniel’s Distillery Tour tomorrow and some walking around through the downtown.

I will try to get more Piggy pics tomorrow!

Another great day in Charleston. Piggy and Archie took a carriage ride around the historic district. Very informative and a beautiful ride.

It was 80 and sunny. I certainly wouldn’t want to do that tour in mid-summer!

Heading down to Atlanta tomorrow morning. So many adventures await us!!

Well - we had a family emergency, so we did what we do best - We went on an adventure!!! Packed the car and headed to South Carolina. Everybody is ok. We got to spend some time with my niece and my great niece.

We are spending some time touring Charleston tomorrow and then heading to Atlanta, GA.

Another gorgeous day filled with lots of adventures!!

We had lots of errands to run and, of course, everyone doted on Archie. I think that Piggy is getting jealous, but who could resist that soft little bundle of energy??? 🐶💕

We stopped at O’Connors to pick up some of their new MI platters. So cute and reasonably priced!! (See pics). Went to Branham’s to pick up an appraisal, then out to camp.

We decided we should start getting the pup used to the Side By Side and other equipment, so he and Piggy gave it a go!! It was the perfect day for a ride.

As you can see, Piggy and Archie are getting along famously!

Yesterday was so much fun!!! We went to Bay Cuty for an appt and then we made the trip out to Rooted By Keit’s (Ridge Rd, Essexville) to get the flowers for the yard. It was our first time there and we were blown away by the size of the greenhouses, the selection, the quality, and the friendly customer service!! 🌹🌷🪻🌺🌸.

We purchased hanging baskets, flats of wave petunias, vinca vine, and curly accents. I love shopping for the flowers for my yard. It’s one of my favorite things to do. My mom loved flowers and always made her yard so beautiful. I am honored and excited to keep up the tradition!!

Everyone have a FANTASTIC day!!! Get out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air!!!!

Such a beautiful day again today! While it was a little chilly, there is SPRING in the air for sure! 🌺🌹🌸🌷🌼

Piggy and Archie spent the day, running errands and checking things off the list. We stopped at Branham’s Jewelry to pick up some jewelry that we were having repaired and we took Piggy and Archie in for a visit and to get some nice pics.

If you haven’t had a chance to stop in, it is worth a visit. The remodel of the old Norman’s store is absolutely spectacular. The wood inside is so pretty and the jewelry selection is fantastic. They have Swarovski Crystal, Designer Purses, Estate Sale Jewelry, and so much more!!

Christina Jordan and Katie Gartland both helped us with our transactions. They provided superior customer service and also spoiled Archie while we were in the shop!! Both Piggy and Archie thoroughly enjoyed their shopping experience!!

The rest of the day was spent running errands and simply enjoying the day!! 🐶💕

Just a reminder - tomorrow is Honolulu Blue Day as they kickoff the NFL Draft in Detroit. Show your Lions spirit by wearing Honolulu Blue (Lions Gear) on Thursday, April 25th, 2024!!

Archie says “thanks” for the warm welcome to the group. He and John are absolutely inseparable. It’s pretty darn cute!

Piggy and Archie were out and about yesterday. We picked up some cute “apparel” items for Archie at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. To whomever donated the shark fin life jacket - a big Thank You!! It will get a lot of use this summer. We will post pics for sure!! 🦈🐶

We made our second trip to Holistic Pampered Pets this week. Yesterday we stopped in and picked up food and treats and today we took them up on an offer to clip Archie’s nails for the first time. Piggy was there for moral support, but Archie took it like a champ! 💪

Spent the rest of the day just enjoying the beautiful weather we had. We hope you are all able to soak in some sunshine and smell some of that Spring air!! Take that time to soak in what God has given us!! ☀️🌻🌺🌸🌷🪻🐶🐷💕

Piggy has made a new LIVE furry friend. Welcome Archie Jacques to the group! He is John Jacques new French Bulldog. He is 10 weeks old and full of sounk!

We are ALL Over the Moon with Archie!!

Thanks for all of the nice comments about Piggy’s return. We are SO excited to be back and sharing our adventures!!

Great time, last night and today in the D! Spur of the moment trip to see “Rain - The Beatles Tribute”. Five thousand people packed into the Fox Theatre - singing and dancing to about 30 Beatles songs. It was AWESOME!!!!! Stopped in Greektownn for some Saganaki and Steak Bites.

Today we walked around downtown and did some shopping. I have never seen Detroit so VIBRANT!! It was a beautiful day and EVERYONE we encountered was so friendly and helpful!! They are going to represent well for the draft for sure!!

The downtown area has the NFL Draft buzz going. So many people walking around with Lions apparel and pop-up stands everywhere. Our server, this morning, said people are already arriving. What a great thing for Detroit!! 🦁

Back in Tawas now and ready to enjoy the weekend!!!

Guess who is back??? PIGGY and Paula!!!!!

For those who followed and enjoyed the Adventures of Piggy, she has things to share from the last couple of months and will be posting going forward.

Unfortunately we had to put the Adventures on hold, due to the fact that I was “apprenticing” at a local eyelash/eyebrow studio (IYKYK) for an Esthetician license (thought it would be a fun side gig and I love people, so why not?). The owner, who was “teaching”me, was paranoid that I was “stealing her customers” by visiting their places of business (local financial advisor, local children’s clothing store, local Opthamologist office), so, out of respect, I put Piggy on hold. I later found out she thought that I, or one of my friends, was trying to buy her building too. Again, paranoia with no basis.

During the time I apprenticed, I also did things like babysit the owners dog, which she did not compensate me for, worked to get her salon TV going utilizing MY computer, painted, ripped out carpet, and assisted with installing flooring at her new location (not the job of an apprentice, but something I did, TRYING to be nice), etc. All of these acts which were clearly expected but unappreciated. It was a situation which was toxic and untenable and ended as unprofessionally as I expected, based upon her previous behavior. I was warned not to get involved with this individual/program, but I didn’t listen - my mistake. One person said “She needs to leave our precious little town”. I couldn’t agree more.

Anyway, I DID finish my hours and will be taking the state boards, but it will take time, because I need to research and study the book and all of the things I was not taught, which are part of the requirements.

I learned some VERY valuable lessons over that time period that I’d like to share for those that have to deal with people who are clearly unstable:

“I’m not intimidating, you’re intimidated. There’s a difference. I’m not mean, nor aggressive, I am honest and assertive and that makes you uncomfortable. And it’s not ME that makes you uncomfortable, my PRESENCE challenges your comfort. I will not be less for you to feel better about yourself”.

So, with all of that, Piggy is back and we have lots of FUN things to share.
