My love for traveling, history and geography has inspired me to create a page others can also get inspired, be entertained, and share a love for unexpected jour

neys. After visiting and spending time in over 47 countries, I get asked a ton of questions regarding different cultures, safety, how much or how little to pack, how to be a "glampacker" and look kept without packing alot of make-up and accessories, customs, how to stay healthy while traveling, what to eat, favorite places, least favorite places, the list goes on and on. I love them all, so feel free to ask questions or post your best travel stories or pictures. Join the discussion on our wall and share your love of all things Travel.

I've found a new place to put on my list to visit! Even among the Italians, this southern part of Italy is kind of unknown. If people really want to see the country and the small villages not spoiled by tourism, this is the place to go. What has been your favorite village you've been to abroad and why?

Picture this..late last night, on my 3 hour flight back to Indy, from Boston, I find my seat on the plane, put my carry-on overhead, sit down and get my book, mags, headphones and a couple of snacks readily accessible for my in-flight entertainment. After taxing and taking off into the dark night sky, and the seatbelt sign finally goes off, I go for the habitual button to press to recline my seat. It's a process, that I'm used to. What comes next, was something, I had never been asked. Something I wasn't sure how to answer. Something that caught me completely offguard. "Can you not recline your seat, they hit my knees."
Being 5'9", I could understand. I think anyone who flys often or even once can all understand, as there is little to no space in coach. But I guess I'm curious, as to how you would react. What would you say in response to someone that has asked you to not recline for the whole 3 hour flight for the simple fact that it would intrude on their space. I understand fully that this is a first world problem.
Sincerely,
Just Curious

One of my favorite and most memorable times on my road trip around Europe was driving through the lavender fields in southern France in my rented convertible. The beautiful smells and the memories are still vivid in my mind. Where would you go in Europe if you were given keys to a car as soon as you landed?

Lavender fields of Provence, France. A TripAdvisor traveler photo.
